Laser Etching

Laser Engraving (or Laser Etching) is a Subtractive Manufacturing method, that uses a laser beam to change the surface of an object. This process is mostly used to create images on the material, that may be seen at eye level.
During laser engraving, the surface of the workpiece is melted and vaporized by the heat generated by the laser beam. This is known as “material removal”. The recess formed on the surface of the workpiece in this way becomes the engraving.

Typical materials suitable for laser etching include:

~ Metals & powder coated metals

~Silicone

~Wood

~Acrylic

~Glass

~Leather

~Rubber

~PVC (only flat areas on an object)
